Junior Cyber Security Analyst

General Summary

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for reviewing all cyber security, network and application logs for potential threats. This relates to all technology including, but not limited to, firewalls, switches, routers, servers, and various applications

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Monitor computer networks for security issues
  • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security related events
  • Install and operate security software to protect systems an infrastructure
  • Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Conduct routine inspects of computer networks to ensure best practices are being followed
  • Resolve detected vulnerabilities to maintain high security standards

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
  • Fast and accurate turnaround of customer requests
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Update client documentation related to network and security changes
  • Stay current on emerging IT security trends, news and best practices
  • Research cyber security enhancements and provide recommendations to management

  • Experience with LabTech (RMM), ConnectWise (PSA), and ITGlue service-management software
  • Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, network systems, and virtualization software and systems
  • Interpersonal skills such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer care
  • Diagnostic skills of technical issues
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
  • Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Industry Certifications preferred
